Growing up in Tasmania’s North West, surrounded by rivers, lakes, fertile farmland, vineyards, rugged mountains, and endless golden coastline you just assume you're living a typical childhood. Everyone has this, right?

You assume everyone has the same access to this kind of wilderness and adventure, this kind of freedom – it feels completely normal. Completely natural. Completely unexceptional.

It's not until you spend half a lifetime travelling the world that you realise how rare and special Tasmania truly is. The landscapes, the coastlines, the people, the food and wine – it’s a place unlike anywhere else on earth.

After 25 years of promoting Australian destinations all over the world, we've seen firsthand how unique experiences like those found in Tasmania can get under your skin and stick with you forever. Tasmanian just feels different because it is different. Our island isn't just another state of Australia. It quite literally sits apart.

The Tasmanian Trip came about with a simple goal; to help travellers experience the Tasmania we knew in the way it should be – at your own pace, away from the crowds (not that there is many..), and chock full of authentic, unforgettable moments.

We only work with independent operators; Tasmanians who truly know their little slice of our state and who know how to deliver adventures, culinary experiences, rustic escapes, and luxury stays that showcase Tasmania in all its rugged, pristine, unpolished glory.

As Tasmanians, we know this island intimately, and nothing makes us happier than sharing it with visitors ready to explore somewhere truly unique.
